Noch’s Bio
Name: Noch
Q: What do you do when not reviewing horror movies?
A: Play Laser Quest
Q: What has historically been your favorite horror movie?
A: I love the classic Universal Monster movies, Dracula, Frankenstein, etc. More modern serious horror, Romero’s flicks are right up there. I also love the comical horror such as Evil Dead II and Dead Alive.
Q: What is your favorite horror sub-genre?
A: Zombies, lots and lots of Zombies.
Q: What is the worst horror movie ever made?
A: It may be a bit cliche, but Plan 9 From Outer Space is one of the most horrible films I have ever seen. That or maybe Monsturd.
Q: What age did you start enjoying horror?
A: I was born the week of Halloween and I’ve been fascinated by everything Halloween and horror for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite memories was seeing Evil Dead 2 on TV as a kid then pretending to be Ash for months afterward.
Q: Who had the greatest influence on your love of horror movies?
A: Bram Stoker in a round about way. As a child I saw Dracula (the ‘31 version) and I was hooked. The imagery, mythos and everything about it appealed to me.
Q: Who is your favorite horror director?
A: I love Zombie flicks, so George Romero is an easy front runner.
Q: What movie do you consider to be horror that is not typically labeled that way?
A: Naked Lunch, that movie still has me traumatized. Another good one is Idiocracy, I laughed my butt off during the movie, then when I realized that may actually be happening in our society……
Q: Remakes – Love ‘Em, Hate ‘Em, or Just Depends?
A: The remake question, hrm. I’m open to watching them. There have been some good ones. I rather enjoyed the Dawn of the Dead remake. There are also some very bad ones that I’d rather they’d left alone. One thing in my mind is for sure, there are too many of them being made.
Q: Do 2 or 3 eggs make the perfect omelet?
A: Three eggs, for sure.
